Fairport, NY (December 22, 2008) – Each holiday season, First American employees come together to provide support to a less fortunate family in the greater Rochester area. This year marked the eighth year that the staff of First American participated in the Dimitri House ‘adopt-a-family’ program.

The Dimitri House identifies a local family in need of assistance and matches them to a donor. First American employees then purchase groceries, household items, clothing, and gifts for the family. In addition, First American matches the employee donations with company donations, which have included appliances, off-lease computers, and Internet access for the Dimitri House families.

The Dimitri House is a shelter serving the homeless of the greater Rochester area. Their annual ‘adopt-a-family’ holiday program is available to families living in the Rochester area who have children under the age of 18. Volunteer families and business provide assistance to families less fortunate in the form of groceries, gifts, and necessities during the holiday season.
