Fairport, NY (July 20, 2009) - First American Equipment Finance held its annual Mid-Year Meeting in Rochester, New York in July. First American board members, officers and employees from around the country attended the meeting.
Jeffery Coons, Ph.D. from Manning & Napier opened the meeting with a discussion on the state of the economy. Mr. Coons is a Chartered Financial Analyst and economist and has over 20 years of experience with the firm. Mr. Coons provided a thorough presentation and analysis, inspiring dialogue from employees on the financial services industry and future developments.
Attendees explored topics important to customers and First American employees through workshops and breakout sessions. Panel discussions were held to discuss customer-focused initiatives. Senior management presented financial and business results through June, 2009 and strategic plans for the next 12 months.
The recipient of the 2009 Chairman's Award was announced at the annual Chairman's Dinner. The award, which recognizes excellence in character and leadership, is First American's most prestigious honor. Commercial Account Officers and Project Managers who were rated as excellent in First American's most recent customer survey were also recognized during the event. Traditional social events were held for employees to come together to share experiences and strengthen their professional bonds.
