HR Rising Star

The Rochester Affiliate of the National Human Resources Association has recognized Jackie Collins as a 2021 HR Rising Star. Jackie serves as AVP, Human Resources at First American Equipment Finance.
 
The Rising Star Award is in its 2nd year, and honors emerging HR leaders who:

• Demonstrates measurable and transformational impact on their organization.
• Is a champion for the human resources profession.
• Generates and shares innovative ideas to strengthen the organization.
• Leads by example and is a role model for others in HR and in their company.
 
Excerpts from Jackie’s award nomination:
 
"Since stepping into the HR function, Jackie has had a profound impact on First American. She led the development of a robust onboarding program for all new hires regardless of whether they are on-site or remote. As a result of the pandemic, Jackie worked closely with the managers to help them coach their remote teams in a virtual work environment. Jackie plays a key role on the company’s Culture & Communications Team, whose mission is to ensure employees have the best experience at First American.  The Culture & Communications Team implemented several new employee benefits including unlimited sick time, day care subsidies and a student loan payment lottery."
 
"Jackie’s strong attention to detail has made her a valuable member of the First American team. While her day-to-day role focuses on overseeing the benefits, in three short years she has shown the initiative and drive to contribute to many areas of HR. She is humble and energetic, and her positive attitude and work ethic make it clear that Jackie’s future at First American is bright."
 
Jackie started at First American in 2016. She is a recent recipient of the company’s Excellence Award and a regular recipient of the BESTIE awards, presented to colleagues exhibiting First American’s values.
