At First American, our colleagues and clients are at the center of all we do. We are closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 and are actively doing our part to minimize risk.
Consistent with our business continuity plan, with an abundance of caution, the majority of First American colleagues are now working remotely. Our business is uniquely positioned to help clients succeed, as we offer a 100% paperless process, digital collaboration tools to manage their projects, e-payments and e-invoicing. For the last decade, our business has transitioned to be conducted digitally, through video meetings. We are continuing to serve our clients and are collaborating internally.
Beyond these measures, First American has cancelled all nonessential business travel and have asked any colleagues who have traveled to wait at least 14 days before returning to the office. Our colleagues have an unlimited sick time benefit, so that any colleague who is feeling ill can feel comfortable staying home for as long as is necessary. To be clear, no First American colleagues have confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19.
