Recently, we asked Betsy about her experience working at First American.
Q: What is the best part about your job at First American?
A: What I love the most about my job is the culture. Being surrounded by colleagues who put in so much time and effort to improve both professionally and personally is what drives me. Seeing so many colleagues strive for excellence helps raise everyone else to that level. It's inspiring to set the bar high and see people constantly exceed expectations. I feel incredibly lucky to work in a culture that empowers me to drive change -- and values my feedback.
Q: What would you say to someone considering a career at First American?
A: What makes me proud to grow my career at First American is knowing that we are a company that truly lives our values. To me, one of our most important values at First American is to "Be Positive." There is a natural excitement in the air in making a positive impact on our clients, our company, and our community.
Q: How do you define success in your career?
A: Personally, a successful career can be defined with one word: character. Success is beyond money or power, success is knowing that I did my job with integrity and to the best of my ability. Success is being an energy-giver devoted to finding solutions to help others. Success is finding a work-life balance to continually strengthen relationships and improve health.
