PEOPLE magazine and Great Place to Work have honored First American Equipment Finance as one of the 2022 PEOPLE Companies that Care. This is First American’s first time being named to this nationwide list, this year coming in at #97.

PEOPLE teamed up with Great Place to Work® to produce the ranking using the research firm's extensive database and inside knowledge of outstanding workplaces around the globe. Rankings are based on surveys representing over 4.5 million employees’ experiences of how their workplaces have made a difference in their lives and in their communities. Rankings also reflect Great Place to Work's assessment of the generosity of each organization's benefits, philanthropic and community support, with particular focus on activities occurring in the last year. According to the Great Place to Work survey, 98% of First American’s employees said First American is a great place to work. This number is 39% higher than the average U.S. company.

First American believes in a culture of giving back, using the power and resources of its organization for social good. The company’s employee-led Corporate Citizenship Team creates a platform for colleagues to activate their passions and giveback in the community. In 2021, First American colleagues financially supported over 75 non-profits across the U.S. through fundraisers and corporate gifts, paired with over 1,000 volunteer hours from colleagues. Every colleague has 20 hours of annual volunteer time off to support causes that matter most to them.
 
Additionally, Fortune and Great Place to Work® ranked First American as a Best Workplace for Millennials, a Best Workplace in New York, a Best Medium Workplace, a Best Workplace in Financial Services & Insurance, Best for Women, Best for Giving Back and Best for Grads. Energage named First American a Top Workplace in the USA (150-499 FTE) and the #1 Top Workplace in Rochester (125-399 FTE) earlier this year. Entrepreneur Magazine named First American a Top Company Culture and Selling Power Magazine named First American among the Best to Sell For. Best Companies Group named First American as the #1 Best Midsize Place to Work in New York in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
