On Friday, May 13th, First American Equipment Finance held its annual Midyear Meeting. Nearly 300 colleagues spanning all departments gathered at the Hyatt Regency in Rochester to discuss emerging company developments, hear from fellow colleagues, and celebrate the achievements of standout individuals.
 

Meeting Highlights:

  • The meeting opened with a State of the Company presentation from Alan Sikora, CEO, during which he updated colleagues on the company’s overall performance and its predicted business trajectory.

  • Keynote speaker Steve Robbins, Ph. D, gave an inspiring talk on the importance of practicing inclusivity in the workplace and amplifying diverse perspectives and ideas. 

  • Concurrent sessions were led by First American colleagues and participants could choose from one of six topics to attend, including effective strategies for working from home and how to deliver a best-in-class client experience. 

  • Joe Guage, CFO, led a discussion on economic perspectives and how our industry specialization sets us apart from the competition. 

  • A panelist of colleagues led by Jamie Engle, Project Manager, gave tips on how to hit the ground running and thrive as a First American new hire and beyond. 

  • Justin McIntyre, Director of Information Security and Engineering, led an interesting discussion on the emerging role of robots in saving valuable time and assets in the workplace. 

  • The meeting concluded with the Chairman’s Award Dinner and Ceremony, during which two esteemed colleagues, Marietta Smithrand and Andrew Eller, were selected as winners.
