Alan's mission is to empower colleagues across the business to achieve First American's vision of becoming the best company to work for and best company to work with. Since 2015, he has been CEO of First American. In 2002, he joined the company as a Project Manager, and has held various roles in credit, operations, sales and sales leadership before taking the helm as CEO. In 2004, he was the recipient of the company's Chairman's Award for excellence in character and leadership.
 
Under his leadership, First American has been ranked on the Monitor Top 100 Largest Equipment Finance Companies list, FORTUNE Best Workplaces for Millennials list (Mid-size), #1 Best Place to Work in New York and in Rochester (Mid-size) and many more national and state accolades.
 
He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Washington, DC-based trade association, the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA), representing the $900 billion equipment finance industry in the U.S. He also serves on an advisory board for the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Saunders School of Business. In addition, he has a passion for the community and volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester, The Penfield Food Shelf and Habitat for Humanity.
